It's important to remove all racks and shelves from the inside of the oven in order to prevent damaging them or their finish. Never clean the gasket, which is the rubber tube around the door, because you could damage the rubber. This will impair door sealing effectiveness, compromising your oven's ability to retain full heat. Use soapy warm water to clean off any larger spillover residue spots on the oven floor, as these can superheat and cause smoke or scorch marks, especially when acidic or sugary foods like sauerkraut, tomatoes or milk are involved. The oven rack fits into grooves on the side of the oven wall, and acts as a shelf that you can place food items on when you want to cook them in the oven. This rack is 24 inches wide and 16 inches long, and is chrome in color. Occasionally, the rack will become warped or distressed, or it may be missing from your oven. In these cases, it will need to be replaced. To replace the rack, simply slide out the old rack and replace it with the new one. It is approximately 2 inches in length and is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. If your oven door will not close or your door handle is loose or disconnected, you may need to tighten or replace the handle mounting screw. Jesse Clayton 2.0 out of 5 stars They seem to have a big problem with the ignitors in this product though. In four years we've gone through three ignitors, and you have to pull the oven away from the wall in order to replace them. Next time we will buy something more reliable. We really wanted to keep this unit. It cooks well, the middle burner with grate has been great to use. Oven has cooked perfectly. The one kicker with this unit, it does not have a gas bib recess. Because there's no recess for our gas line, the range sticks out from the wall 1.5 inches. Not ideal. If your gas line is recessed into your wall or coming out of a lower cabinet, it should be no problem. Unfortunately, our gas line does not do that.

See the picture to see what happened. This was completely on fire. If I had not walked back into the kitchen at the right moment, my entire kitchen could have started on fire. Also, be careful with the knobs on this. If you simply brush into them, they turn on. But just the gas. Also, not a safe thing. Let's see if you can read this. I tried to review it on Frigidaire's site. They took it down, surprise, surprise. Here’s how to fix it. Self-cleaning ovens can save you from scrubbing a greasy and grimy appliance. They use a temperature around 900 degrees Fahrenheit to burn off the dirt that accumulates on the oven surface during the cooking process. If you are a lucky owner of the Frigidaire Gallery series oven with a self-cleaning feature, you can take advantage of it. All you need to do is remove the racks, close the oven door, select the “Self Clean” cycle, set the cleaning time and press the “Start” button. The cleaning cycle usually takes three hours to finish. When it is completed, let the oven cool down and wipe away the ashes with a damp cloth. Unfortunately, like any appliance, the oven’s self-cleaning feature can eventually break down from even normal use over time. To avoid the messy and exhausting process of cleaning the dirty oven by yourself check the tips below. Self-Cleaning Cycle Repair Tips Follow these simple tips to get your ovens self-cleaning cycle working properly: Check the oven controls Follow the directions from the owner’s manual to make sure the controls are set to run the cleaning cycle. If you cannot find your user manual, you are welcome to download it from here. Check the circuit breaker or fuse Make sure the circuit breaker, that is responsible for getting power to the stove, is on the “ON” position. Check the oven door lock Ensure the oven door lock is operating correctly.

If you have followed all the tips above but your Frigidaire self-cleaning oven still doesn’t work as it should, call us at (844) 944-2557 and we will send one of our professional technicians to diagnose and repair your appliance. Here are things that might be causing your oven not to self-clean: Defective door look motor and switch assembly During the oven’s self-cleaning cycle, the door switch activates the door lock motor to prevent the oven door from being opened. If the door lock motor or switch assembly is malfunctioning, the self-cleaning cycle may not start or the oven door will not unlock once the self-cleaning cycle is complete. Faulty thermal fuse The thermal fuse is a safety feature, which shuts off power to the oven if it gets too hot. Defective oven door switch The door switch alerts the oven control that the door is closed. If the switch is defective, the self-cleaning function may fail to start. You can often determine that an element is defective by checking for any visible breaks or blistering. You can also test the element for continuity. A faulty thermostat may have trouble assessing the oven temperature and prevent the oven from self-cleaning. Malfunctioning oven control board If your Frigidaire oven uses an electronic control board to control voltage sent to the heating elements, the board itself could be malfunctioning. In this case, it may not send voltage to the heating elements. We have identified the most common malfunctioning parts, but there could be other ones as well. Our experienced technicians face oven problems like that on a daily basis and are able to fix all of them. Feel free to give us a call at (844) 944-2557 and we will be happy to help you. Though, moving the gas line may be easier for some, specifically if your basement isn't finished, we didn't feel as if it's something we should take on, if there are other manufacturers out there that produce ranges with the gas supply recess. We debated on keeping the unit, provided there's a back filler piece, which Frigidaire does not make one for this unit. I've attached a photo of where our gas line is located.Stove has been okay. The top is roomy, the burner heat is pretty responsive. The burners sometimes don't ignite, and sometimes after a burner has been used it will not re-ignite for 10 or more minutes. The oven is the literal worst if you like to cook. Heat is very inconsistent and sometimes it just turns itself off in the middle of cooking and doesn't turn back on. Baked goods end up with burnt bottoms and pasty tops, the convection setting makes this worse. The rolling rack is pointless and it just takes up oven space, I have to pull it out and set it on the floor if I want to bake or roast something large. But even if these things don't convince you not to buy it, please pay attention to the HUGE SAFETY ISSUES WITH THIS RANGE: 1. The burner knobs turn too easily. As in twice my cat has turned the gas on by jumping onto the counter (I know, we're working on that behavior). Once my son who sleeps in a bedroom near the kitchen came downstairs to me and said he didn't feel well and the kitchen smelled like gas. We had to open doors and windows and evacuate the house at 1AM. A second time we came home from errands and could smell the gas at the curb in front of our home. Just today another issue arose. The oven, which has been turned off for over 24 hours, is hot enough to cook food in. I placed a pot of food into the oven yesterday evening to cool and when I took it out this evening to reheat it the food inside was 147 degrees fahrenheit!! This was over 2 hours ago and the oven is still hot enough to cook food.

I have reported both these issues to CPSC and to the manufacturer. Frigidaire has been wholly unhelpful, so I'm doing what I can to warn any potential buyers away from this product. My primary use is the range and happy with the output of each of the burners. I haven't tried using the oven and likely won't until turkey day. It looks beautiful and compliments our fully remodeled kitchen with other Frigidaire Professional appliances. One thing I’m impressed with is the surprising ease of keeping the stovetop clean. I was fearing I’d have a charred surface in no time but being how easy it’s been to clean I reckon it will retain it’s lustrous stainless steel surface for quite some time to come. One thing to note is the depth of this as ours protrudes a good inch from the counter. Our contractor knew what slide-in range we had selected so perhaps it just wasn’t possible to get an exact fit. As far as ordering with ABT goes, it was excellent. We reside in Southern California and no local store, independent or chain could compete with ABT’s pricing. That coupled with paying No Tax (sorry CA gov!) made them the clear winner. It took about a week to get here and the driver would only deliver to our garage. We didn’t pay for white glove so no issue there. Oh, and huge props to the customer service. The range went on sale within 7 days of us ordering it and after speaking with an agent, they refunded the difference.Brought this defect to their attention and they, electrolux, said: The scratches on the cooktop range are not covered under warranty. The defect I am talking about and explained to electrolux was missing rubber pads on bottom of grates. Without those pads the grates cause scratching as they are moved about for cleaning, which we unwittingly did. Did not matter to them. No help was offered. Actually we bought the entire line of appliances and had similar, but more numerous, bad experiences with all but the dishwasher.Do not do that with this one.
